The Conservative Party

Pleased with Sunk's performance tonight and I think he’s definitely shored up his 19% of the vote. Seems to be completely unaware that the 19% can’t vote twice….

First question tonight. “People are dismayed by the lack of integrity and honesty in politics today"

At the same time as the debate, Conservative Party HQ changed their Twitter account to 'Tax Check UK' which leads to a website with misleading information about Labour's tax plans

And in response to that question, Rishi Sunk said, "Leadership means being straight with people.. The choice at this election is about leadership and integrity in politics..”

He’s really bad at politics, which is a joy to see..

The Integrity Party now sending out thousands of Facebook ads telling people a Labour Government will introduce a ‘National ULEZ’ scheme. After 14 years, all they’ve got is telling lies, which is a pretty poor show, whoever one supports.

You're obviously lacking self-awareness. It's far more normal to turn brown-nosing members of the conservative party and the royal family into a full-time unpaid job.

Perhaps that's why it isn't a leap to suggest you have an unhealthy obsession. I bet you even wring your hands afterwards.
I don’t know why people interact with this clown. You only encourage him to write more. People are always asking why don’t City ‘fight back’ against the media? This is why. It only gives them ammunition to fire back. Ignore the c..t and he will have nothing to come back on. Not @Mr Kobayashi incidentally.

This is partly why people who are maybe disinclined to get out and vote next Thurs should do so in an attempt to remove as many of them as possible from parliament. They have gone, in probably less than a decade, from being a 'normal' political party to one that represents an active threat to democracy. Their behaviour both within and beyond parliament has gone beyond the pale.

It only took one generation of Republicans led by Newt Gingrich to poison the well of US politics in a way that they have failed to recover from and makes it hard for the US to pursue functioning politics and government.

Politics has always been a bit of a dirty game but VLOPs like X and Meta and their business models make maintaining fair and meaningful elections even more difficult.

Put aside for a moment their appalling track record in government, if we allow the behaviour we have seen from this incarnation of the Tory party to be normalised our politics will suffer for generations to come.

The British public needs to send a clear message to all parties that it wants a functioning democracy. A low turnout because "they are all the same" won't send that message, it will be business as usual.

The obliteration of a supposedly mainstream party, not simply because they were poor in government, but because they rode roughshod over our norms for their own ends just might. It will force the Conservative party to either rebuild itself into a functioning centre right party or essentially join forces one way or another with Reform. Either way we will know where we stand. It will also send a shiver down the spine of all the parties because it will show politicians that there really is a line beyond which as an elecorate we will not tolerate your behaviour.

Forget all the scaremongering about a Labour super majority, the best way to keep Labour honest is to demonstrate what will happen to them if they behave in a similar fashion.

So don't sit on your sofa next Thurs, go and make it clear that you won't have the piss taken out of you anymore by liars and thieves.

That's a great post.
