I loved Magic and Medicine and Invisible Invasion. First album was decent and the last one was alright so I'll be checking for this one.

Had a few smokes with them years back, decent set of lads and on form a really good band.

after 3 listens i can say i really like it, different but still very good.

i still expect to hear some of the older stuff in their songs, i've taken to the new sound, it's a great album but i prefer Magic and Medicine.

They've just been on 6Music with a live session..'She's Coming Around' sounded tremendous.....it's sounding like an LP that's right in tune with what I'm listening to at the moment....Midlake, Beach House, Fleet Foxes, Stephen Fretwell etc.

Who went to see them on the 17th at the Lowery?


It was a top gig. Play a lot of their new stuff, but also some top old tunes.

Seen Skelly and Power in the lowery bar afterwards, and both were top lads. Pretty quite, but friendly.

My mate saw a bouncer turn Skelly away from the VIP bit, but he didn't mind, then someone came over and told the bouncer, who then wanted the earth to swallow him.

been listening to this album a lot since it came out and there's no doubt imo that it's up there with their best ever work. must admit after the last couple of albums i thought they were on the wane, but no chance.
more than a lover, falling all around you and butterfly house are my favourites.

really surprised on how well lee southall does on this album. he really shines after being in bill ryder jones' shadow all his career.

anyway the coral are back in a major way. best album i've heard this year.
