This season's kits were fantastic.
The third kit was great and is staying, so I'm told. I liked the away kit too - modern and aggressive addition to an otherwise classic set.
The home kit was probably the best I've know, or been able to find - for any club, let alone City.
The design is clean, well tailored and elegant because of that. I watched the Umbro videos on it back at the start of the season and its clear a lot of thinking went into it - which shows. I really like the cut too... although can see why some might not like the tailored design over baggier offerings! Really great design that did away with a lot of the crap we - and other sides - have seen from football kits. The inovative fabric is great too.
The problem I see is that they've made a wonderful shirt - changing it would be for the worse (aside from very subtle additions/changes, like white cuffs ala Bell-era). But noticeable changes are necessary to flog the next 'new' edition...
As with business and football shirts, revenue wins out over design integrity. I hope I'm proved wrong.
