Anybody remember or was into this band in the late 80's? I loved them, only Prince himself was better at crossing Funk with Rock. Well, Dan Reed has just been doing a short UK tour, solo and acoustic. First time here in 18 years.Saw him in Manchester Academy last week, and he was still magical. Does a lot of Network songs, like 'Ritual', that so shouldn't work acoustically, but does!
Somehow, he is mates with the landlord of The Hark To Towler pub in Bury, and he is now doing two nights there, Sun 16th, (Sold out) and Mon 15th, before he returns to States. (Back in April with a full band) Only a fiver to get in. Fantastic.

I still often listen to them and have a load on my iPod, as for Prince-have everything (just about) and that includes pre 77 stuff !!!!!!

Dan Reed did the Borderline last week, you shoulda gone! Big Prince fan meself. Got into him around 1999 album. Some of the best gigs I have ever seen have been his....Lovesexy tour, the Apollo a few years back, (his Whole Lotta Love was AS good as Zeppelin's!) Maine Road.
Have you got that album Jill Jones did? Finally got it on cd at last. He wrote the whole thing, and Jones had a great voice.
