Weird without the crowd but the standard of darts has been great.

Agreed, lots of close, high quality games particularly in the quarters - it's a bit frustrating when you see one player run away with it from the start in matches when there's such a long format like in the latter stages of the Matchplay.

Given that most of their games are without crowds normally the players should be well used to this sort of environment but it was surprising to see so many of the top seeds fall at the start, particularly MvG who must have recorded one of his lowest ever TV averages since he became a World Champion for the first time

I enjoyed the coverage from the match play.

I think both players and sky made the best of the situation.

I thought MVG's exit was bizarre and some other players haven't been in the best form (Durrant, Snakebite).
