I believe this is the derby where we will prove to the world that the tide has turned for good in Manchester football.
The Carling Cup games seemed to be the barometers at the time, and in some ways they were, but an injury crisis and the wrong tactics meant we were just forced out.
I think, apart from Rooney, our squad is better than theirs. Who would get in our team now? Rooney of course, Evra, Vidic and possibly Fletcher. But that's it for me. And that's the first time I could say that in 20 years.
I think this is the one. We will end their title challenge and cement our place in the top four. Noone will sneer any more. Noone will call us chavs or classless or unbalanced. All doubts will be removed.
City will show the world we are back.
I think Saturday is our time. I think we deserve it and I think we're good enough.
There are still weaknesses in the side. I'd drop Toure and stick Nedum there, with Richards at right back. And I pray he doesn't pick Vieira as that could lose us the game.
But the way our attacking four are going at people, with the incredible performances of Kompany and Barry, and with the sense of unity the players seem to have, I think this one is ours. We deserve it after the two Old Trafford derbies this year.
And I'm going to remember how it felt sitting in Old Trafford in January, gutted, with those cheesy songs playing and all those fucking kids and goons and glory hunters bouncing around, pretending to be excited.
This is our time. I really believe it.
