City of course!!
Starts on BBC 2 tonight.

Filmed over 2 years the BBC were given unlimited acces to a specialist Greater Manchester Detective unit as they attempt to stop organized crime groups (North Manchester, Salford and Moss Side) fighting each other to stop an all out gang war in Greater Manchester.

Looks really good and over 6 parts

No football on tonight so will definitely be dipping into this.

Mentioned this on other threads.
Saw the first series a few years ago (it seems) and was brilliant.
Very dark and grim however.

Those ones based in Luton with the Bedfordshire police, 24 hours in custody, were very good as well.
Definitely cases of truth being stranger than fiction.

They're incredibly well made which along with the amazing detective work makes for compelling tv....no daft acronyms here...

Welcome to my world boys. Ive been a detective for 20 years. No wonder Im knackered
The contrast between fictional tv crime & real life crime is quite stark.

Nothing glamorous in these worlds.
Not sure how you can all constrain yourselves when provoked or threatened like was shown tonight.
Kudos.

Not quite sure why they aren't handcuffed at that stage.
Not like he's in there for pinching flowers from someones front garden to give to his nan.
Looks like he's going to explode any moment.
Incredible restraint by the detectives/police.
Watching it now. That Paris bostock fella is terrifying

I know, it's mad.

Our coppers are incredibly brave

Made me think of that Police Officer who was killed a while ago by somebody who was in custody, think it was near Croydon or somewhere else in South London if memory serves.

Shouldn‘t give anybody like that villain the benefit of the doubt as they simply don’t deserve it.
