I loved this band in the 90s. So talented, such imagination. Their albums were brilliant. Their orchestration was sensational.

Looks like they're back. A new album coming. This track is a very emotional one!

Anybody who has watched hopelessly as one or both of their parents fade away, (particularly via the horrors of dementia)..will get it. If you have. I'm with you friends!

I love the Divine Comedy and think Neil is a fantastic songwriter.
Have seen them live several times, and will be seeing them again at the Bridgewater Hall in October.
One thing that let Neil down once when I saw them at the Albert Hall in Manchester was he did the predictable "Any United fans in here?" banter, and the reaction was quite rightly a sea of boos!

Last time they played the Bridgewater Hall I left at the interval.
The sound quality was execrable.

Seen them live once in Liverpool academy I think. They were great. Shout out for Neil's work as the Duckworth Lewis Method too. Some cracking tracks on those 2 albums

Cuts deep that one

One of my favourite bands. Neil Hannon Is tremendous live. Although he went through a phase looking like Jurgen Klopp I'll forgive him.

He wrote the music for Father Ted the Musical I doubt we'll ever get to hear it.

Yes, he wrote the Father Ted theme tune which featured on the album "Cassanova" perhaps their peak. Just a fantastic album. This track from it is odd, genius and multilayered.

Also wrote the theme to "The IT Crowd" showing he can write a decent synth pop track too. In fact I seem to recall reading somewhere that he was obsessed with The Human League growing up!

The national express and everybody knows except you are two of my favourite songs by them. Late 90s summer I think I was listening to them. Maybe 98 but could be wrong.
