Did I mention I'd been on Eggheads?
Anyone remember this?

Birmingham City were the visitors on the day - as was this dog that held up play for a number of minutes!
Scenes of hilarity as it pee'd on a goal post at the North Stand, ran the length of the pitch in front of The Kippax and then pee'd on a post in the Platt Lane End.
The dog gave the elderly stewards the run around before a group of younger fans gave it ago.
It was left to Joe Corrigan to entice the dog towards him, when it was finally captured and removed to a great roar.
The game ended 0-0 and the dog was awarded Man Ot The Match!

Me & me Dad were at that game, the best thing was when the dog had finally been removed & the game went back to being a dull 0-0 draw the Kippax started singing "We want the dog back!"
We had a laugh about that for years afterwards every time we were watching a dull game :-)

Was at this one in the Main Stand Block H Right. Dire game from what I recall - 0-0 draw and I think Tony Coton was in goal for Brum?

That reminds me of the incident in Chile during the 1962 World Cup. England were playing Brazil and a stray dog ran on the pitch. Eventually play stopped and Jimmy Greaves successfully grabbed the dog. Greaves ended up on the ground and the dog pissed over his shirt.

For Greaves, that was a typical Saturday night out: on all fours and smelling of urine.
