The dog on the pitch v Birmingham 1982...

It probably succeeded. Poor old Mark. Apparently, he was an avid blue, and I'm sure he was kind to little old ladies and donated to "charidee", but let's be honest here; he wasn't very good, was he?
He was one of our best players tbh in a truly dire team.

Am fairly sure there was another dog or was it a cat came on the pitch in a December game v Brighton in the early 80s too..

That reminds me of the incident in Chile during the 1962 World Cup. England were playing Brazil and a stray dog ran on the pitch. Eventually play stopped and Jimmy Greaves successfully grabbed the dog. Greaves ended up on the ground and the dog pissed over his shirt.

For Greaves, that was a typical Saturday night out: on all fours and smelling of urine.
Sounds like Jimmy had more action playing for England in 1962,than in 1966 WC...

This reminded me of the incident about 10 years or so back where a fox was spotted walking along the roof supports at the back of EL3 at HT, against Wolves of all teams!
This vid from EL1 is a bit far away to see it clearly.

I remember that game,I also seem to remember for some strange reason that Frank Worthington was playing for Birmingham that day as well
Probably the season before or after, but didn't we beat Birmingham 4-2. City were 4-0 up, and then Worthington scored 2. All goals scored in the first half, anyone else remember it?
