The driving test

Regarding pass plus not many insurance companies give decent discounts on it &not many people take it up .the cost is reasonable usually about £150 for 6 hours ,people who do take it feel much more confident

It was quite a while ago but I got a good discount but more importantly I felt much more confident after taking the pass plus.

The trouble with the test is that the instructors only take you around the local test routes that are adjacent to your local test centre. This obviously limits you to those types of roads near your test centre.

The driving test lasts 40min aprox. by law they must be out of the test center a minimum 30 min .some routes will have roundabouts, duall carrageway ,national speed limits ,some routes will be more straight forward ,some will get the emergency stop some wont .once you pass that is when the hard work starts

The test is pointless anyway because within 12 months most have ignored all advice and completely forgotten how dangerous driving can be to themselves and other road users. It annoys me how many people don't do the simple things, like indicate when going right at a roundabout. We are supposed to guess that is what they are going to do. What annoys me more is that if you were to enter the roundabout assuming that they were going straight on (as they weren't indicating) they would crash into you and you would come off miles worse. Their laziness is putting others at risk. It's the same with people still using their mobiles when hands free equipment or bluetooth is so cheap and easy.

Problem is once you passed the test .that is it.no more assments or further tests .there is little in the way of enforcing bad driving practise
