Two bank holidays and perhaps some exciting football to watch on them.

Not any longer.

All we get is yet another international break for some tedious, noddy friendlies nobody cares about.

I don't like internationals, in particular bloody friendlies - but I expect I'll watch the game and (dare I say it) hope we're given a footballing lesson. It hurts my feelings as a proud Englishman to want my countrymen to get beaten in anything, but the sooner Woy and the rest bugger off the better.

Get on the rugby league instead mate! International football is bobbins. May as well get into something with some real meaning behind it.

Super League's got the Easter derby fixtures on tonight and tomorrow, and then some games on Monday n'all. Hull FC v Hull KR, Wigan v St Helens, I'm actually going to Warrington v Widnes in the top of the table clash.

Rivalries where the fans hate the other set of fans just like any you can name in football Newcastle-Sunderland, Portsmouth-Southampton, City-United...better than Germany v England where everyone's scared to death of getting injured and half the teams are at home because they're "injured" or really injured anyway in q game played like meaningless exhibition game.

I'm with you on this mate. Just hope all our lot come back injury free

Might go along to TNS's game v Newtown on Saturday evening (5-15 I think).
Make a change from seeing them at CoMS and the Millennium Bug Stad.

The way most of this season has panned out, I'm grateful for the break, and I'm off on holiday when it starts up again, somewhere where all our matches will be on late or overnight, unlike the last 2 seasons, I'm not going to bother sitting up half the night to watch either, by the time I get back there will probably be only 5 games left, unless we somehow beat PSG.

Who remembers Gaudino popping up with a header at the platt lane end in 1995 on good Friday versus the dippers. Got some momentum going to keep us up that year.

Should be a time for a few decent premier league fixtures over the long weekend. Unfortunately not no more.
Was that the same year when we beat Blackburn away on Easter Monday?

Haha yeah that's the one, wanted us to lose but we popped up in that red and black away kit with the weird wonder web panels. I remember uwe rosler sliding the entire length of Manchester when he scored the winner in a 3-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday that season. Amazing times could you imagine how we defended back then to how we do now?

What's this "defending" shit you're talking about?

I'd be happy if we did!

. Those were the days! We were on a shite run, only 2 wins since Xmas I think and looking certain to go down. Then we beat Liverpool and the champions elect within the space of a couple of days! Typical City at its best!
