The Easter weekend

. Those were the days! We were on a shite run, only 2 wins since Xmas I think and looking certain to go down. Then we beat Liverpool and the champions elect within the space of a couple of days! Typical City at its best!

They say Guardiola is a visionary with his formations, Brian Horton was the original visionary. Fuck it I will play 3 strikers and 2 wingers. I remember that game v Spurs when we beat them 5-2. Proper swash buckling football whilst we sat in a quarter built kippax with a rap Mac on.

Haha yeah that's the one, wanted us to lose but we popped up in that red and black away kit with the weird wonder web panels. I remember uwe rosler sliding the entire length of Manchester when he scored the winner in a 3-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday that season. Amazing times could you imagine how we defended back then to how we do now?
We had Kernaghan at CB so not much difference really. ;-)

Going further back to the 67/68 season I remember us having home games against Chelsea and West Ham on Good Friday and the Saturday - that wouldn't go down well now with the matchday prices, even at '68 prices it made a hole in my pocket money!

I also remember one youthful and spotty looking Joseph Barton popping one in at Spurs away on a good Friday. Bring it back I say.

Easter 1977 we had 3 games in 4 days,Good Friday Leeds home,Saturday Liverpool away and Easter Monday Middlesbrough,I was at all 3 games and we finished 2nd that season.

Nice to see John Sheridan doing well at Oldham and fergusons son loosing 7 games on the bounce.

Hate these blank weekends. What's that now; 4 of them so far this season? Too many. On the plus side, at least we haven't lost this weekend, a novelty this past few weeks!

I see where you're coming from Kazster, but I miss the stress, wondering how Demichelis will play, who Pellers will bring on around the hour mark, waiting for the inevitable injury(ies) and the concession f the regular soft goal(s). The summers when there's no WC or EC are a nightmare.

The empty summers are a right pain i agree, last year i watched the copa america which helped.there are 3 big things on this summer so no time to get bored (euro's,copa america centinary and the olympics) and of course being stuck in the transfer forum lol,i'm gonna be cross eyed
