Thank god we have that open EU market on our doorstep and UK businesses have access to a large pool of skilled and unskilled migrant labour to supplement the indigenous workforce and fuel that impressive 2% growth.

Upswing? It's been solid at around 2% for several years now.

Take a look at the eurozone and see how they are faring.

"my economy" has been bloody static for over 5 years - any increases in income more than matched by inflation and family demands up and down depending. Contrasts with the previous say 15 years that were on a a steady upward trajectory over that period.
