How come one of our brazilians is allowed to take 15 months off & this elevates him to legendary status, whereas 15 games off for our other south american magician spells the end of him as a footballer fit to wear the colours of MCFC?

Could there be other agendas at play in peoples beatification of the curly haired misery guts, currently occupying the number 11 shirt?

Discuss!

Not entirely sure what you are getting at. Do you mean why are some people supporting Elano but keen to slag Robinho off?

I think that's what he means Weston. I've never properly slagged off one of my own players - we should always get behind them. People have bad games, need time to settle etc.

We have to get behind the whole team

Yeah, thats what I mean. I can't figure it out, how there seems to be more support for one player going through a period of poor form than another.

The only thing I can think is that some people think that Elano is a good player going through a rough patch, whereas Robinho is just a bad player who doesn't deserve our support. Unless they're saying that Elano is more deserving of support because his attitude is better than Robinho's?

It just doesn't make sense!

Robinho's a confidence player, probably the most textbook example I've ever seen.

He's down right now and he needs love from all quarters and a goal, both will lift his spirits and you will see a markedly better player. He's been quite vocal in his appreciation for City fans vs. every other set of fans he's played for, take that away and lets be honest there's not a whole lot of other reasons for him to stay. If we sell him to Chelski this summer you know, you just fucking KNOW he'd having a blinding season and we'd all be left crying.

If that's the general opinion then I'm at odds with it again.Robinho looks classy.Elano hasn't hit a blue shirt in ages if the pass is over 10 yards. And what's so great about his attitude?

Hughes is a football genius, all the Brazilian internationals are shit and need shipping out ASAP, and anybody who disagrees with me knows fcuk all about football.

I don’t want to hear all this bollocks about Hughes affecting their confidence with his shit tactics and aloof management style.

We need battlers loads of them, blokes that will kick shit out of the opposition and nick a goal for us here and there, thus we will conquer the globe with our unique brand of football.

You don’t agree with me you can all fcuk off

Well so am I BS! Thats what I'm getting at! The people who seem so keen to slag off Robinho but defend Elano seem to have it backwards in my view. Given a straight choice between the two, there's surely only one player who'd win that contest every time, yet there seems to be a vocal section of our support determined to keep Elano at all costs, yet drive Robinho out of the club.

I must have missed some purple patch in Elano's time here, because save for a few bright appearances in the early days under Sven, he's done very little to deserve his elevated status amongst the supposters for me!

Robinho's goals, on the other hand, have meant the difference between a fight for european qualification & a relegation battle, & his ability to produce something out of nothing is as good as anything I've seen in my years supporting the club.

Makes you think our owners signed Robinho,TAKE AWAY HIS GOALS and we would be right in the mix at the bottom ?

Maybe our owners no more about football than useless Hughes ?.
