"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" 11/11/11.

Anyone else a fan of the Fallout series? Skyrim feels like a olde world version of that, I know it's made by Bethesda so I guess that's why!!
Does joining a certain clan mean you can't join others ie enemies of each other etc or can I go around joining everyone at random?

I prefered oblivion to fallout, still a good game though.

If you do anything for clan 1 that clan 2 disprove of then clan 2 will kick you out but you can rejoin (for a price I can't remember)...... the trick is to join all the bad clans first i.e Dark brotherhood, thieves guild (if in this game).... basically all the ones the entitle you to do bad deeds then after you've completed them move onto the basic guilds that disprove of all the bad guilds by this time there'll be no need to do anything that the good guilds will disprove of......

I've not even done that golden claw thing yet which people have been mentioning, shows how much I care for the main campaign!

Its not a main quest its a side quest that you do for a shopkeeper in riverwood!! Its worth doing though as it gets you ahead of a main quest that you'll have to eventually do anyway!!

Think i'm going to wait until Christmas before i get this. I NEVER know what i want for Christmas, so at least it gives me something to ask for! The wait will be excruciating, but consideing i've recently bought MW3 and BF3, i suppose i should play them!

Yeh im going to have to manage my time between BF3 and Skyrim, sold MW3 to pay for this as I just could not enjoy any part of MW3

It's like seperate rooms on different levels, no chance of running past, loads of hidden traps firing arrows and spikes in the walls, and falmers, shit loads of falmers firing ice and fire at me

I feel into that little pit of frustration myself with a level 6 character. SUPER hard. Here is how I got out:

First, turn the difficulty down. This only helps a little though. I still found that I could not beat two falmers at the same time.

Second, sneak, sneak, sneak. I used a bow and basically would hit one of them and try to draw them away from the group and deal with him one on one. The Scarabs are also REALLY tough for a low level character. I did the same with them.
Save often.
There is a nice glitch in the first big open room you encounter. Go to the right and fall off the platform onto the rocks below. All the enemies in that room go to the edge and you can kill them without them killing you.

The last room I got past by going to the far left and up the rocks that way. I had to use a potion of invisibility to get through the last bit, but I managed to get out.

All told, it took me about 3 hours to complete it (and a bunch of dying). However, I went in a level 6 and came out a level 10. However, I really did not find anything of any real value. There may be some loot in the last room that I skipped though.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help mate but I've started again. Only level 7 and only started on monday so not so bad, seriously do not go in a sightless pit

Loving it mate, I'm gona really take my time this go through and search everything. The travelling gets a bit annoying but then something always happens to make it liven up. So far I'm really into it, first thing I turn on after I've been gym and I end up on my bed all night playing it

My 2nd day of playing the game and I love it now. Got stuck against a giant spider but my mate was round and he sorted the spider out.

One question thought I have just killed my first dragon but I am only level 5 is this weird or just unbelieveable tekkers?

Not really a game to play stoned.

I always feel I'm missing so much by not bothering to read any of the numerous 200 page novels littered throughout the game. I'm sure if I did I'd enjoy the game a lot more but I'm also sure no one else bothers either.

I don't really know what's going on with reference to the politics of the world, I'm just a stoned wizard who looks like a shit Johnny Deep running about shooting lighting at people when they try to mug me.

I got battered off a giant last night and I found the experience thoroughly humiliating.

I am a big cat with a sword now thats sketchy!

Well I started playing about 7ish and only just got off...... Wouldn't mind but I've only done about 4 quests but have manage to buy a house now in Whiterun.... Word of warning make sure you have a couple of grand saved up when you buy a house otherwise your living in a shed!!
Talking about a house is there anyway to prevent your shit (that you leave in storage) from getting robbed??? My mate had a few items worth 500 gold each robbed from his gaff and was mighty pissed off!!

Also killed a dragon 1 on 1 I'm at level 15 now and have 4 different shouts but need another dragon soul to unlock my 4th shout!!

This game will get me the sack this week and surely take over my life, I fear that I may step out the house and start randomly shouting "FUS" to people that get in my way!!
