The Email I got from Rob Beasley (aka Sunday Suppliment)

Gained some respect for him here. Good man explaining his point of view and admitting personal relationships, he could have just ignored you.

Actually, I really like that response and his tongue in cheek attitude. He comes across as somebody who would be quite a funny bloke.

He'd be hilariously funny with a spike up his arse! He wasn't just having a go (City fans are long inured to all kinds of folk 'having a go'), he was attempting to demolish, denigrate and despise on a personal level and not a professional one, and the minute a hack from The Sun wants to talk about class and dignity you know the world is out of equilibrium.

Maybe my memory is being tainted by excessive drinking and the almost constant rewriting of history, although i am fairly certian the like's of the sun a year ago were ripping into Hughes like theres no tomorrow, 150m spent 1 win in 8 leagues games, 1 game from the arab sword blah blah, etc

If I was walking down the street with a full bladder and saw this twunt and Gary Neville on fire then I'ld take the risk of pissing myself

Some journos on Twitter are in the midst of a hilarious U-Turn re: City.

Since Neil Ashton went on National radio the other week with the sole intention of trashing the club from top to bottom ("classless" etc etc) a few of us have been into his ribs on a regualr basis. He gets involved if you keep it relatively civil.

After the result on Sunday, he accused US of trying to rewrite history and stated that he couldn't believe the fans were up in arms over Hughes' sacking given the fact it was clear he had taken us as far as he could.

Be warned, this is his paper's new take on the whole affair. Unbelievable really.

Class coming from a Sun reporter. Don't make me laugh.

Dont buy the paper, listen/ring talkshite etc etc. Hopefully Vicky is dealing with this and the hammer will come down on these utter gobshites.

I think some people take things far too seriously.

If you want to know about Beasley's professional integrity, ask Rafa Benitez.

Two years ago, Beasley used an interview Benitez had with a spanish radio station or newspaper and misquoted him and claimed an exclusive saying he had slagged off the owners.

This story just happened to break on the day Liverpool played........Chelsea.

Rafa sued successfully, and the NOTW had to apologise.

Can you forward that response he sent you to his editor. Surely he should be sacked for that?

this is the sun we're talking about here. it would be like writing to hitler complaining that goebbels had been caught out lying.

I CC the sports editor (mike Dunn) into the original email - a few weeks ago after mike dunn had given us a thrashing I had some dialog with him in which he states that the Sun do not have an agenda against City, however upon reading Robs email he clearly does have personal feelings against us due to the fact that his buddy was sacked. Hypocrites of the highest order, the only jorno I have got any decent replies back from were wooly back who says that he writes about city to sell papers (at least that's a valid reason)
