I fucking loved that show.

Did they ever explain why it was a Brit in that character?

Rumour has it, they occasionaly move abroad.

But not, often, to the higher echelons of another country's intelligence agency - which was rather the point of it.

CALLAN and his snitch was called lonely. could explain the smelly bit though, think it was on itv.
