I'm a blue and I have a confession - I have no natural affiliation to Manchester.

My father was not a great footbal fan and I have no geographical link to a team as I've always lived in the heart of Kent. I enjoyed football when I was young - especially watching United lose - but I didn't follow a particular team.

I've followed City since university, nearly six years ago, when my friends decided I need a specific team. Enter City! I watched from afar, bought the shirts and finally, when I had a full time job and could afford it bought my first season ticket this year.

I'm onboard for this rollercoaster and the derby is hugely important to me. But I will probably always feel something slightly hollow in not being from Manchester...

The exception that makes the rule.

Just move to manchester, that'll complete you. We're much nicer than the crowd in Kent anyway.

Doesnt matter where you're from as long as you're blue... Never feel hollow, but always feel proud!

And if a "Manchester" United supporter were to post that then it would mean they are a glory hunter and shouldn't support the team.

I don't think that matters, cdc. The football club and the City aren't the same thing. You don't have to live here or identify with the place to support City, It's the rag glory hunters and plastics that we don't like.

In your opinion... I have never said such a thing so dont tar me with the same brush thanks! But your argument is flawed as there is no such team as "Manchester United" so.

And we are the obsessed ones, lol. Why are you on here? Why are you not on your own forum? I was sticking up for the rags or rather "away" support but fuck it, you are not in Manchester and never have been (someone dig out the boundry proof and stats please). Now jog on please, see you at the match tomorrow eh.... Oh wait!

Oh no. I've been caught. I support United despite the fact that I want a City win tomorrow. I also follow my beloved Manchester United by turning up to Dens Park every Saturday. Get a grip, just because I post something that doesn't make United fans out to be complete pricks doesn't mean I like them. I'm in Scotland anyway so run along and dig up your facts, it'll mean absolutely nothing as in the Premier league I support Arsenal anyway, born in London and down every summer for Emirates Cup.
