The Express on Ashley Young

being reported on 5Live this morning that Rooney would walk into the Barcelona team right now!

So, a couple of weeks into the season, England playing a very, very average Bulgaria team and we already have Rooney in the Barcelona team, Young as good as Messi, and City playing like Barcelona. Looks to me like the media have utterly ran out of ideas, and all they can do is liken players/teams to Barcelona.

Utter shite our media.....

If Ashley young's on par with Ronaldo and Messi, then surely Welbeck and Cleverley are the worlds best?

Incredibly short sighted our media england beat a bulgarian pub team and this is the all new fluid barcelona like england team, and we will beat wales which will obviously make us favourites for euro 2012 and then we will play a good team get hammered and the cycle starts again its so boring

Press Hyperbole shock.
It's not just rags/England though look at Bale last year or Walcott after his Hat trick.
They just love to build someons up on the bais of a short run of form, they often enjoy knocking them down after when they fail to deliver the presses exagerated expectations.

Woohoo! We beat Bulgaria! We're gonna win the Euros and the World Cup! We're better than Brazil and Spain!

English media, doing what it does best. Building up careers and them knocking them down.

I expect at least 2/3 players to have their careers brought to a staggering halt in July 2012 when we get knocked out by Sweden or Portugal or whoever.

england will never do well because like spain(in years gone by!) bias journo `s write with their domestic passion s first. it s amazing reading some articles you can guess who the journalist supports.

they work all angle s to break the psych` of opposition players...... build them up to tear them down. modern footballers are over worked and over paid. the media can use this against the players with just a little spin of dirt.
