If anyone is travelling Paddington to Cardiff and back again on Sunday, be aware that the journey time is nearer 3hrs because of engineering works rather than the 2-and-a-bit hours the journey normally is on Monday-Friday

Here’s one for you - travel times between South Wales and Paddington will be longer after electrification ! The piece meal approach means the new electric trains need Diesel engines - so acceleration times are slower - hence longer journey times. Only in the UK - genius.

I grew up in South Wales and there’s plenty of bilingual Welsh speakers who think and talk in English.

It’s more of a North thing to speak it as a first language.
