So for years United fans called us the 'shadow dwellers', and that City will always be in United's shadow... (fantastic banter...)

Well has that shadow gone now? If so is it for good? Could United themselves be in City's shadow in a few years?

United fans must be gutted only having our attendance figures to use as banter ammo now haha.

the bigger you become the more shadow you cast MANCHESTER CITY FOOTBALL CLUB HAVE NOW BLOCKED OUT TRAFFORD PARK

Sorting out the MEN Red bias would be a start. Today they state "Messi says he won't leave Barca for City" while The Metro reports it as "I'll never move to England". Sly digs by their Red reporters.

Which United are you writing about?

Daft buggers aren't they? They think they are on the wind-up.

Hey rag journos! Let me help you with a...clue:

Here is a MEN sports page headline from 1996:

"Alfonso McKay, 19, Doncaster's leading scorer last year has opted for a move to 1992 Champions Blackburn Rovers over relegated Lancashire neighbours Manchester City. McKay said, "I am sure City will bounce right back, but Rovers are serious about getting back on-track, so I won't leave Doncaster for City."

I wonder if they understand now?

(its a muffin)
