The fan who jumped on Haaland

It’s the times we live in. Instantly reminded me of the 2002 Spider-Man film. It was on last Christmas and they deleted the scene where he asks the wrestler if his husband made his spandex costume for him.

It isn’t remotely homophobic.

Anyway, as you were….
Out of interest, if it isn’t homophobic why wasn't, “did your wife make it”? used instead?

Because that’s a shit comment that wouldn’t be remotely funny. And in the context of a big burley wrestler who is dressed like a ****, husband is bang on.

But that’s 2002 and the fact it’s now been removed from the film for telly says where we are as a society just 21 years later.

Was it not removed because Randy Savage has since passed away?

The rational viewpoint here is, what he did was wrong because at the end of the day he broke the rules. Now the fact that it was a joyous and excited fan who was embraced by Haaland himself, does make the situation better. However, clubs dont want to set a precedent where its ok to go on the pitch and jump on players under the justification of doing it out of pure love and passion. Personally, I think Haaland himself might ask the club not to punish him.

No. It was removed for the reason you have said what Mexico said is homophobic - because there is a wretched and odd desire for everyone to be offended by something.
Just because you’re personally not offended, doesn’t mean other people aren’t.

I personally wouldn’t be offended by a Bernard Manning joke - it doesn’t mean they aren’t offensive.
