The FOC thread.

New FOC here,just joined,must admit this thread has kept me entertained for the last few days,but by god some of the stuff has me feeling not just over the hill but going down the other side on a rocket propelled fucking skateboard:)

Cheers,love your user name,I remember the BBC didn't show the final that night because of the Leeds, Chelsea FA cup final reply,if I remember correctly the feckers broadcast it way later that night but i was ordered to bed for school the next day,I would have killed for the red button then :)
 
Having a chat with an old mate last night (usually chat or meet up once a year or so). Another mate had pulled the plug on their friendship after 45 years. Said friend had been dumped by me for being a PITA some time ago. BUT I was knocked sideways when he said they had been mates for 45 years. How? What? We're not that old? Turns out - we are!
In fact the friendship with the feller I was talking to goes back to about probably late 1979 or early 1980. Bloody hell.

An old mate visited me yesterday. We have known each other 55years.

The FA forbade the Beeb and ITV from showing it, because it clashed with the Cup final replay.

I think ITV intended to show it, but as I said, the FA stepped in.

The username is not only a tribute to the city and year of our first European triumph, but also to my late partner, whose first trip abroad it was.

Pah ! I have 3 friends that I went to nursery school with 62 years ago. The world was smaller then and two of them I went onto primary school and then secondary school with. The third is a girl I re-met at a primary school 40-year reunion in 2009.

Talking of which, when I was approached to go to the reunion, I thought it was the worst idea I ever heard and only went out of curiosity. In the event, it was one of the most memorable days of my life. It was amazing how people had grown up with exactly the same traits and mannerisms they had when they were 11.

I hoped they enjoyed every minute of the final mate,well apart from the pissing rain,very sorry to hear you lost your partner mate.
