It's like the scent of champions, imagine the luxury of sitting in a room that smells like a toilet and people don't naturally assume it's you that stinks because it can be one of many crispy bastards who are in the same area.

I just read somebody mentioning the junior blues. City are missing a trick here we could have the foc blues. Our own club lounge at the ground where we could listen to tunes from the sixties to eighties, with a bit of oasis thrown in. A free packet of Worthers originals every visit. A cosy fire, hot chocolate and Bovril and videos of Maine Road and framed pictures of Peter Swales and Bernard Halford to remind us of the good old days.

It sounded good until you mentioned Oasis:)

Introduced in 1972, with inflation, would today be around £130. There is currently a petition to government asking for an increase.

Rising Damp, comedy genius. Steptoe and son, love thy neighbour, later Budgie, the Sweeney and one of my all time favourites Auf Wiedersehen Pet.

The Sweeney remains my all-time favourite cops series.

John Thaw and Denis Waterman were both brilliant in it.

Love upstairs downstairs. Can watch it over and over. Some very topical things covered, Titanic sinking, 1st world war, general strike to name 3. And of course LAD.

I didn’t really enjoy Upstairs, Downstairs at the time; i was too young to appreciate it. But whenever I watched repeats with Mrs Vienna, i Réal enjoyed it.

One thing I do remember from watching it the first time was the Wall Street crash. IIRC, Rose lost all her money.

It's a lovely country. I like the German work ethic too.

I nearly drowned once in a choppy sea; I have my continued life courtesy of a German who braved the high waves to save me.

I've never been in the sea since....

I love Germany too.

I spent a brilliant semester at Potsdam University from October 2001 to February 2002. I even dreamt in German a couple of times.

Do I quality as an FOC?
Turned 60 yesterday

Junior, apparently.

I turned 63 in September, so I have nearly two years, until I become a fully-fledged FOC. Welcome to the junior section.

Yes, one of the last episodes. Jean Marsh who played Rose actually wrote the series.
