The FOC thread.

Discharged from the community hospital yesterday. Now a month in a rest home and thence to chez moi when the building work is finished.
Very weird here, half the inmates are loony.
Got some lovely hugs and kisses as I left the hospital.
No idea what the future holds.
Two weeks late but glad things are looking better.

(cat at home looking forward to seeing dad again.)

This is something I’ve been saying for years.

We all want to. Live longer, and successive governments have encouraged us to look after ourselves. Eat more healthily, take more exercise, etc.

But that means an aging population is growing even older, which will mean more people needing care homes and long-term care.

I’m not for one minute advocating euthanasia, nor anything like that, but it it is something to be concerned about, IMHO.

Eating and drinking ourselves to death instead boss......won't be long now :))

Sitting on my bed yesterday when one of the carers asked me if I wanted a shower. I sat in the chair and young Ollie washed me all over. Bliss is warm and wet with a good looking 27 year old.
One week done in the care home, builders have started at home, three weeks to go.
Enjoyed beating Aresenal, but nobody to celebrate with.
I learned that I was on the dangerously ill list when first admitted to the infirmary, so things have looked up somewhat.
I didnt realise you had been so sick lovely, i am still in recovery myself so i get how you feel, getting home to your own bed will make such a differences so hope you get there soon xx

Think it was Piccadilly Radio
James H, pre-kick-off, "lets hear from Tom Tyrell at Stamford Bridge following united".....sounds of a scuffle and raised voices.... "Despite having a pass, a Chelsea jobsworth wont let me into the press-box",....a bit later, "lets see how Tom is doing" again the sound of a scuffle and then nothing.. A short while later..." i am now in the car park, can see a goalmouth, and it's nil nil"....James, in his laconic way just said "ok Tom, now, off to Maine rd to see how the Blues are doing." Apparently John Conteh was with Tom and they were in the crowd when the local fans kicked off, Conteh laid a few out and they all got chucked out..

Thanks. It is three months since my accident and I have been in hospital ever since. Looking forward to getting home.

We had one of these in the kitchen, my job was to go to get the paraffin... makes me laugh when people have to have central heating nowadays.

That takes me back to the late 1950's, memories of my dear old Mother stirring a pan porridge on the top of one of those, fag in one hand and spoon in the other. Happy days...........
