Discharged from the community hospital yesterday. Now a month in a rest home and thence to chez moi when the building work is finished.
Very weird here, half the inmates are loony.
Got some lovely hugs and kisses as I left the hospital.
No idea what the future holds.
A bogey was fucking brilliant !
I remember making at least two.
We called them go-carts.A bogey was fucking brilliant !
I could say the same about seeing kids having a kick about in the local park.I loved climbing trees to a dangerous height.
Can't remember the last time a saw a kid doing that.
Hmmm yeah that some extent but, I do still see kids with footballs and jumpers for goalposts near me although the majority seem to use organised training on astro pitches at the near by school.I could say the same about seeing kids having a kick about in the local park.
A friend is a scout leader and he told me he's noticed a change in the behaviour of kids over time. Years ago, they would organise things for themselves.
Now, they stand around doing nothing until an activity is organised for them.
Used to love a good conker tree in September. Was always convinced the biggest ones were up the very top.I loved climbing trees to a dangerous height.

But getting them to go wasn't the problem...We called them go-carts.
Down South - or at least in my neck of the woods - everybody called them 'trolleys'. Stupid name, but just as much fun :-)We called them go-carts.
You can’t get much further "down south" than Falmouth, Cornwall.Down South - or at least in my neck of the woods - everybody called them 'trolleys'. Stupid name, but just as much fun :-)

Alright, "down South-West"!
I haven't the energy for a 'South-off' right now, so I'll bow to your geographical one-upmanship :-).You can’t get much further "down south" than Falmouth, Cornwall.

I was trying to be a bit of a smart-arse. Apologies.I haven't the energy for a 'South-off' right now, so I'll bow to your geographical one-upmanship :-).
(I always assumed that you were in Manchester, you seem so much like a part of the furniture on here...)
As far as I’m aware, the docks is still pretty active. I think it does a lot of cruise ship refurbishment nowadays. Many a good night out in Falmouth over the years when ships did refits there.
