On Sky One now, for anyone interested. It's (partly) about how GMP handled last season's derby at Old Trafford.

Bloody hell a couple of hundred city fans trying to leave early has thrown their exit plans out of kilter. How on earth did they cope with 60000 rags flooding out 15 minutes from the end?
 
Shows how differently the two clubs and grounds are policed.

We're unable to relocate away fans because of the location of the coach park. Over there you are just chucked out of the ground into the middle of a baying pack of morons.

Nobody will ever convince me that that is the best place for away fans to be at Old Trafford. Thats a major route in and out of the ground which probably has a bigger footfall than any other street near there. No way should away fans be slap bang in the middle of it having to cross that lot before you can get to coach parks.
 
The programme was just propaganda. The way the police handle Derby matches at Old Trafford has been a joke for decades. Essentially they allow the United fans to surround, intimidate, spit, and throw random punches at City fans, usually youngsters, without taking any action. They stand at the back filming everything and then pick some of the culprits out later. They do nothing to protect innocent fans and rarely intervene. Having watched City at more than 100 grounds home and abroad I believe Old Trafford is the worst policed ground I have been to. I made a formal complaint to police after the League Cup semi when I witnessed watching police officers do nothing while bricks were thrown onto City coaches and cars. The police were only 10 yards away from the thugs and the attacks went on for 10 minutes on Chester Road. I never got a response.
 
They should do a programme on the policing at the U21 game at OT at the back end of last season.

Oh sorry I forgot, there wasn't one single police officer present at the game!! Awful club.

That game was an absolute joke. Never mind the lack of police, they penned us in with scum on both sides without a single steward in between.
