Labour have become the party proposing sound economic management and the Tories the party of making reckless unfunded promises. So far the Cons have 'committed' to 8bn pa NHS extra spending by 2020, 7.2 bn unfunded tax cut promises pa by 2020 and freezing rail fares (in real terms). Also if you remember there was a splurge in public spending in 2020 in the Autumn statement. So the question is where are they going to find all this extra money? Is it all coming from 'mañana' growth in the economy or cuts elsewhere, and does anybody really believe now that they will not raiseVAT to fund these promises?
PS chances are they will raise VAT anyway but NOT fund these promises!

The BBC explained the freezing the rail prices and it will only affect half of all tickets sold and the prices will still go up just not more than inflation so freezing is a misleading promise

He made this statement in 2006, on an internet forum just like Bluemoon. At the time he was a teenager. Let's hope you've never said anything that could later hurt you on an internet forum that perhaps had the ability to be search by anybody for certain keywords. Such as

Immigrants couldn't give a fuck for the people of the UK or the NHS, they just want free health care and a roof over their head - April 2013.

This was what he actually said in a thread, translated from Google:

To finish on a positive message, I took to spare Haven yesterday, and was not with them flags for sale. England flag was there, along with all the other flags in the World Cup AC Welsh flag was there also. Then I walk past the Cafe Society next door, and shirts 'Wales' in front of the door. Great. Shop there, they see that support Wales in good economic step.

PS This is what ddwedes to contradicto bit earlier about the need for dialogue betw Welsh and English, but - I got the inspiration, what to do if the flags on cars in your pisho you are legally off (sort of), is fun, and create headaches for the owner of the car - Tippex - throw a bottle of the stuff in the car, it will look ridiciwlys (especially if Is it a car shiny boy-raceraidd), will need to spend hours cleaning it (or in the car-wash money) and, without looking closely, it looks like a bird shit! Perfect - A Call To Action (but do not buy the Tippex in Smiths!)

The thread was on page 13 at the time and was about the fact that a bunch of retail stores in Wales were flying English flags rather than Welsh.

It's ludicrous the lengths you people go to to slate each other's parties, absolutely ludicrous.
 
I agree Damocles. And none of us, surely, would buy into absolutely everything that the party we end up voting for believes?
People back theirselves into corners so tight on here that they end up as a caricature.
