I have to say, as someone who is in the centre politically, I was gobsmacked by how many right wingers there were on BM when I first joined.

Their numbers are increasing as well.

As you joined in 2011 you may need to look at this again

The Tory voters will only have themselves to blame when they get to 90 and there is next to no social care available. What is the point of pretending to champion the NHS but cutting social care so drastically creating a lot more need for the NHS?

I'd rather debate with people with whom I disagree than with those whom I agree with (excepting nut jobs of course).

My main concern is not the increasing right wing slant on BM but what appears to be the incipient nastiness that some of the right wingers on here engage in.

There are plenty of valid cultural, social, political and economic reasons why certain people are right of centre - I have no problem with that. I just don't understand the vitriol and hatred that appears to accompany some of it.

If that is true which I dispute it may just be that people are coming around to the fact that left wing politics are outdated and totally unworkable in the modern world! English politics has been moving towards the right for years and the only way labour have gained any power in recent years is when New labour took a massive lurch to the right.
