rome total war 2 is great fun. something has awoken the kid inside playing with armies! charge!
That's definitely something I will take a look at. I also had a lot of fun with TTD back in the days. That reminds me of another Open source rendition, Freeciv, that I used to play a lot on my Linux box. Think it was loosely based on the game mechanics of Civ 2. These days I bounce around from game to game. Question I have for people out there, are there any remotely good strategy games for ipad/iphone? I have yet to find one that does the trick and most if not all of them want to connect to social media or have you buy stuff in-game, which I have no interest in. Would be awesome if there was a good strategy game for the phone.
