Though I didn't really know him, the people who did reliably tell me that Scarblu was amongst the best poster Bluemoon has seen.

Going to make a controversial choice here, but I always enjoyed Corky's posts and thought he brought a great ability to lighten the mood when the main forum stuff got a bit heavy. Fetlocks could craft an insult to somebody in the same way that Michelangelo could paint a ceiling.

I always liked that group of posters though I appreciate that my everybody didn't have my same sense of humour and aloofness towards them

Depends on your sensibilities and what you want out of the forum, i would rather lock heads with someone who is close to the bone and has opinions that i find offensive than someone who wants to discuss the weather, would rather be insulted and annoyed than bored to death, words have never killed anyone
