Last seen on the news yesterday trying to boot the yanks out of their Scottish military air bases and campaigning for the UK to come out of NATO and scrap our nuclear deterrent. Notice this morning that its snake-oil leader is totally confident of a Denton/Gorton victory but oddly doesn't want to risk getting beaten by running to be an MP in his home town himself. Prefers to wait for Corbyn to stand down and go for his London seat apparently.

Probably a smart move, they'll be other seats he's better suited to and I think Spencer will attract a broader base of voters. It also dodges bringing into focus some national policy areas (foreign) where I'd guess the Greens are a bit more vulnerable at the moment. Finally I'm not sure actually being in Westminster is critical to his approach anyway at this point. He'll be accused by some of running scared but I suspect that won't stick.

I don't think Greens have a chance in Gorton. As a former resident of the constituency I can confirm its white trash. Reform or Labour are the only parties that can win. If greens do well it hands it to Reform. Maybe that's why he won't stand.

Yes clear risk of splitting the vote letting Reform in, which will mean some hard thinking for both Labour and Greens. Probably better that happens now than later though.
