Well I was disappointed in it.
Maybe because I've read all of Hooky's and Dave Haslam's books and seen all the other docu's on Manchester music I'm just too familiar with it but it was the same old story regurgitated again with the same old heads. Completely glossed over the violence, no mention of the drive by shooting and the door wars. If I was new to the subject, I would be left thinking it closed once and reopened as a gay club.
A good opportunity missed........
They should have done it on the whole Madchester scene, with Konspiracy and the Thunderdome and focused on the door wars and James Anderton and the police shutting each one down instead of wheeling out the usual suspects to tell us what they've told everyone 5 times already
