I'm not into the scream movie bollocks, scary movie yes but not into scream at all but my Mrs loves them so I'm with you there that they're shite.

Loved the first one. By the third they were just taking the piss. The horse is well and truly flogged

As for another Carpenters classic (which I've not seen in absolute years) - Christine was remade on the BBC a few years ago, but missed the chill of the movie:

Didn't get chance to see the kids properly this weekend otherwise would've dialled in a film with them.

Will be watching Death Line (1972), aka Raw Meat, starring Donald Pleasence, Norman Rossington and a walk-on from Christopher Lee (he only agreed to do it so long as he didn’t have to wear a set of false teeth!). Got it on remastered on blu-ray, but the audio is only mono.

In a nutshell: a politician goes missing on the London underground and the subsequent investigation uncovers a link with a gruesome past tragedy.

Underrated British horror and Pleasence, as the irascible Inspector Calhoun, is having a great time.

I think it's one of those films, that was very good, but anyone watching it now having heard all the hype, will be slightly underwhelmed, as it isn't as 'great' as it's said to be....IMHO.
