What are you using ? Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, phone ??

For me they appear right above the "reply" box using laptop or desktop.

OK go up to your user name top right, hover over it, click preferences, and put a tick in the "use rich text editor" box, should appear then.

I will try chrome but I would have thought it should have worked in IE. I will try in a minute.

It does work in IE. Have you got JavaScript disabled?

Its fine to be smart, but some people have no choice, some work places won't allow chrome as the browser for instance, some only allow firefox.

JavaScript is not disabled Ric. I am now logged in on Chrome and the "missing" bar is now there above text box. So it must be some issue with IE for me.

Open to suggestions as I am not keen on chrome.

A few people seem to be missing bits and pieces,i must have just got lucky with the changes

Yes mate. I'm back in IE11 and have checked that. I have had 1 or 2 problems with websites freezing recently. I think I will delete and reinstall IE just encase it is corrupted.

I've just logged into IE8 at work (yes I know, but we have no choice), and its showing there ok, so it must be something in your brower. Have you tried the age old clearing cache and cookies ?
