Re: The i fu*kin love oasis thread

It annoys me when casual Oasis 'fans' only go on about Wonderwall + D.L.B.I.A, both great tunes but very stereotypical Oasis, they did so much more. Even the albums that were panned had quality tunes on 'em, like the following:
Girl in the Dirty Shirt
Where Did It All Go Wrong?
She Is Love
Bag It Up etc

Where Oasis went wrong is the track selection, if Be Here Now had had half of the B-Sides on The Masterplan it would've sold multi-millions more, because Listen Up, Masterplan and Talk Tonight etc would've seriously complimented D'You Know What I Mean and Stand By Me. Same applies with how Lets All Make Believe would've improved SOTSOG, and how UNRELEASED (in capitals 'cause its unbelievable) tracks like Stop The Clocks and I Wanna Live In A Dream (In My Record Machine) would've easily improved the last 2 albums which weren't that bad tbf.

I get the impression though that Noel won't make the same mistake with his solo project, and hopefully neither will the lads at Beady Eye. Oasis however cemented their place in history IMO, the 'haters' can stick to Blur....
