He got it completely wrong as i've said numerous times, if we don't finish 4th and we have another couple of performances like last night then i'll hold my hands up and say i was wrong and Mancini wasn't the right man afterall, as it stands i think he's doing a decent job and if we get 4th i'd be happy enough to give him another season but i'm not naive enough to suggest he's the be all and end all, he makes mistakes which he is going to do but it's all about learning from them, theres things i think he can do much better
Of course people make mistakes, I won't deny that, however last night was inexcusable.
Nearly 18 months in the job is plenty of time, once again I could have picked the side better than Bob and set us up better - it didn't take a rocket scientist to work out how the dippers would play.
Saying all that I'm still confident we will get 4th, imo Bob though won't be here beyond the summer.
18 months in the job is plenty of time for what? If we didn't have a huge game on Saturday and produced that kind of performance i'd be extremely concerned however the way the players weren't interested in making a tackle, tracking back, working hard was surely down to having Saturday in mind, the same way Spurs kind of played at Wigan ahead of their game at Madrid? When was the last time you saw a performance like that under Mancini where there was literally no effort or willingness from the defenders and defensive midfielders to make any tackles or blocks?
I'm not going to make any excuses for last night, Mancini got it badly wrong and it was a terrible performance
