- Change UK leader Heidi Allen suggests the party may cease to exist in its current form before the next election.
- The party was formed by former Conservative and Labour MPs earlier this year, but has struggled to gain support.
- Allen suggests she may instead seek re-election as part of a "brand new world party" encompassing MPs from across the House of Commons.
- The comments come after a leading candidate for the party described them as a "sinking ship."
Oh dear...how sad....
They just need a new name, I suggest 'Change with the wind party.'
It would have made more sense to do that. It's not like the Lib Dems have been shy about their position. They’re pretty hopeless.
I do admire their stance and the bollocks to put their careers at risk for it.
Why they didn’t just join the Lib Dem’s though, I’ll never know.

I think some hard lessons have been learnt. Ultimately they can not fight the Lib Dems as they have far more infrastructure and a base of support. But the Lib Dems also need to understand they have limited appeal and significant bagage. Post EU elections something will have to happen ahead of a GE.
It's pretty easy to see that the tories will fall apart in the next 12 months. I'm assuming Lab go full on remain and that will be enough to hold them just about together. I thought that Change.uk would be a mostly center left party made up of ex Labour but I suspect it could become the default choice for moderate Tories who will not stand on a hard brexit ticket with Boris. Tories wanting out of the Boris party may bring people back to the table and I still think something good will come out of this. The case for a single centrist alternative party to Corbyn /Boris is massive. It needs a lot of people to come together; Change.uk, Lib Dem, Green, Tory and Lab defectors. There is lot's of time, we will see.
Don’t disagree with any of that.
