The ITK reports appear to have dried up....

We've not heard anything significant in a while, and there has been nothing at all posted re adebayor as far as I'm aware... are all the ITKs away on holiday or have their sources been rounded up and locked in a basement till the end of the window???

I'm a bit concerned about this daily mail story this evening about Ade and Chelsea (I know, I know - it's the fucking daily mail, or should that be daily fail, but I still can't help feeling anxious)... do we have any inside info to refute this?

Happyblue posted in the Ade Thread, besides there is not much else to say the team are away, wait a couple of weeks that's all I can say!

Did he? Must have missed that - easy to do when threads get too big like that... I thought Happyblue renounced his ITK status anyway?

He is just too humble to admit it

is it any wonder??

someone says they know something-300 posts say they are lying bullshitters etc

someone hears something from a friend-has to adopt a tin hat

someone informs us of a future target or something in progress-god help them if its wrong!

then comes a shite load of begging post....

please let us know stuff
please keep us informed
please tell us when its happening

its pathetic.

i personally know a fair few things and wouldnt share on here because you simply take the piss.
you cannot blame the silence from these people!
it time this forum adopted a different stance to people claiming to be in the know!
rant over

lol - fair enough...

I really hope this one comes off through... I've got the feeling this one is the key. If we get him I think top 4 is a strong possibility and top 6 a certainty. Without him I think top 6 is achievable but top 4 will be probably beyond us.

I also think it would mark the true turning point with regard to our other targets. If Ade signs then Lecott and Terry will be more willing to hand in transfer requests imho. If Adebayor turns us down I think our momentum could grind to a halt, at least as far as the top class players go. After Eto'o I feel we cannot really afford to let this one fail, and I think the player knows this.

I don't think we should bother going for any other forwards if Adebayor rejects us because frankly the other options out there are either unwilling to join us, or are too big a risk or are just not the kind of player we need.

Evening guys and gals!

not sure what info has been posted about Adebayor, been away all week and haven't had access to the net!!

Latest I have is that the main stumbling blocks over a few personal details have now been sorted and he should undergo a medical this weekend. (I believe reading the papers while away that he had already undergone a medical, he hasn't!) City hope to have him available for the game on Tuesday. Sorry i can't be more specific and will post more if and when i get it.

apologies if this is already public knowledge.

Thx mate sounds good , any new info on terry or lescott?
Nothing really fresh from what I last posted, both still very much on the cards. However Lescott remains the more realistic of the two. As I have said before it is all dependant on Everton getting a replacement and us going to £20m, that has already been dicussed between both clubs. A possible change to this is they may want cash plus player now and it won't be Richards!

I really hope MH doesn't go for the Ned/Lescott swap - Ned will be a star in a few years as he's a great player, has a fantastic attitude that's very rare amongst modern footballers, and is actually a Blue - which I think its important to have at least one of in the squad!

It would cost us far more in the long run to get someone like him back again once he's gone - I'd much rather see us pay £20million than £15million plus Ned. I just hope MH is of the same opinion.

Spot on mate and what Everton want and what they get may well be two very different things! but Ned will definately come into the equation, trust me ;)

Cheers Biz - was about to hit the search function before you posted to see what had been said, but you save me the effort!

I think a season long loan for Ned would be acceptable, maybe even a good idea to make sure he gets a shot at 1st team football if Lescott and Terry sign.
