The knee-jerk reaction thread

Its hard for Silva to control games when our manager keeps playing him out wide. He also needs runners so he can play the balls but our midfielders are pedestrian.
Painfully so yesterday. Fucking shocking to watch the difference in the intensity of their midfield and ours. Silva was as guilty as the others.

I seldom run our club down but after todays woeful and inept performance, questions need to asked whether the team itself wants to win anything.
Knee jerk reaction ?? Certainly not.Other than our cup matches when was the last time we really played well as a unit in the PL?
As soon as I saw the team selection I was not assured of anything positive.Sorry he`s been a great servant for us but Demi is nowhere good enough and should have been replaced by Sagna at centre half.
Don`t get me started on our WORST left back Kolarov. The best crosser of a ball my fucking arse.He got two decent crosses in but other than that every cross was cut out from the first man.
Yaya >Arrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The guys having a nightmare season and for all the positives that he`s given us all these years,we cannot allow to be sentimental.
He`s not the only one and I am sure as fuck don`t have a clue who we would give from our team todays MOTM ?
We lack drive, passion and a work ethic that should have been on par with Leicester.
I sincerely hope that Leicester win the PL as we are a good few strides behind them and they deserve all the plaudits they are given.Well done Foxes and time to pull your finger out City players sooner than later otherwise we wont be polishing any of this years potential trophies.

I agree with all of this.

really do not understand our supporters calling our players , useless , fat , lazy , c*nt ,and many more expletives , you should be thoroughly ashamed , i can understand constructive criticism as a supporter of the club , but insulting individual players after poor performances really is of no use whatsoever , i expect it relieves the frustration of some of our "fans" , the keyboard warriors from near and afar , but maybe we should look at 91 other league clubs in England ,and then take a minutes to look at at our squad , the facilites, our owners and the investment and take a minute before posting utter garbage. Criticise fair enough , but put something tangible in a post , instead of lazy f*cking tw*t , useless b*st*rd , its getting embarrassing and making some of our supporters look spoilt and self rightheous.
Our fans have always been like this. The cheering yesterday when Toure went off was shocking, but it's fans and that's their opinion. I agree with constructive criticism, but you won't get it with certain players - Toure, Kolarov, sometimes Mangala (his stock has gone up recently though during his absence), Dzeko was another.

At a match , its different , i am guilty as anyone of shouting off the cuff expletives , its passionate and spur of the moment , mostly at refs and linesmen ! But when someone sits down at a keyboard and considers what to post , it is uneccessary

Unfortunately it boils down to hatred, which I think is why the individual player threads were binned due to the level of vitriol. That's what I don't get. Argue about a player's technique, lack of quality, passion (which is very subjective), even their work rate (which again is subjective, as some just think running around is equal to work rate, which it isn't).

well I've had a nights sleep and still feel the same as I did after the game, seven of the starting 11 are not good enough/ on a downward spiral and it's time to move them on
It seems cruel, but it's football.
Silva and Zab ain't gunna starve and they can go and play football in the sun
I don't want to see either of them emulating a forlorn Yaya Toure who's been here a season too long which has left him tarnished and destroyed our thoughts and memories of who has been a teriffic player for us
As for the rest
Kolorov, Ottamendi, Delph, clearly not good enough
Demichelis is out of contact at the end of the season, but should have gone last

Only three of today's starting eleven are really good enough to command a regular stating spot next year
Hart
Fernandinho
Aguero

Sterling I believe will eventually come good, the other seven are either out of their depth or well past their best and that includes fans favorites Silva and Zabba

I hope Guardiola has a big list and we have plenty to spend

Have to agree in that they'd be the only 3 from the senior players that fit Pep's Style or deserve to be in the 11 next year.
