It’s a private army so has got fuck all to do with you or anyone else who thinks they can “get rid of it”.

Wife went to private school with Michael, David and Nicky Murray, the children of Bruce Murray, the current Duke.

Little story there for you Hans, I know how much you like them ;-)

The House of Lords should be abolished all together. If we need a second house it should be elected.

It's a private army that goes marching around with non decommissioned rifles, that would be illegal if done by anyone else not in the military or police service.

Doesn't matter that their weapons are obsolete and from the 19th century. If they want to keep them they can melt down their ammo and decommission their rifles.

The brag in the 2nd paragraph is embarrassing btw and shows you up as a low-brow tufthunter.

Hmm, considering the shudder of clowns that have been elected to various government positions over the past 50yrs, Im not sure thats a good idea. You'd be better off selecting people at random from the general population, at least it would be more representative and might just keep politics a bit more honest.

They only “go marching around with rifles” on private land. They are also a regiment of the British army despite being a private guard (similar to say the pikemen and musketeers).
