That’s an emotionally driven response. You’ve proven my point. You wouldn’t have been allowed to mingle or see loved ones if he didn’t party - the party didn’t make any difference to your life or to the policy. It’s the optics, that’s where he suffered, still gets called out on it today - emotionally driven responses are the hardest to counter.

You ask people to judge Starmer on his record thus far but to do that you need to look at it without emotion - something you yourself can’t do when looking back at Johnson. The freebies are generating emotionally driven responses. WFA is generating emotionally driven responses. Immigration generates emotionally driven responses. Fixing strikes generally doesn’t. New renter legislation doesn’t That’s the reality of being PM, fair? Probably not but both his emotional issues are self made.

That's only because it's not good form to say it out loud.

If you look at the last 15 years or even the last week then you really can't come to any other conclusion.

Unfortunately it’s human nature, people do change and become more like those who they interact with on a daily basis.

Very few politicians, once they are in power, remain connected to their roots, particularly if they are from a working class background. Yes they may talk about it to garner favour from the electorate but once people start moving in other parts of society it’s very much a show.

The exception used to be those who came from being leaders of Unions but these days they are all but gone in parliament.
