Not sure. I only deal with them once they are allowed to stay etc.
And I agree, that's why we grant them phones once they are allowed to job search etc.
Although most have them already. It's rare that they don't, to be honest.
So, nope....no idea ;-)

without giving anything away in my work role before I retired I was an investigator and any phone registered to an individual is fucking gold - once some one has contacts in their phone they may change handsets but seldom SIM and never phone number. Burner phones are the only way to avoid this but if you are given a phone and thats how the authorities contact you then you ain't disposing of it.

And that was commercially available phone - if you were to supply a person of interest with a phone think what you can do with that. See pagers can kill thread.

Just to add how long have you had YOUR phone? How often have you changed your number? Your phone is enabling people to follow you - there are plenty of legal cases where this has been evidenced.

I know that phone tech/tracking/etc is pretty phenomenal now (especially in criminal cases) but hadn't really thought of the other side of the coin. Thanks

one thing I will "reveal". Just think how many times you input your contact details willingly on line for any number of organisations which include your mobile number coz thats the best way to get you yeah?

Now organisations can run a check overnight when its quiet. An a number comes up time and time again...... now it could be a legit commercial organisation like a construction firm or a legal company and the programme can be adjusted to filter those out and still numbers keep coming up ........ thats how you find a car ringing gang or a gang of fraudsters or even if thats what you are investigating grooming gangs - none of them send 1 message to 1 member then dumps the phone and SIM.

At 9am when you start work a whole new set of lines of inquiry - thats without going into location tracking

They are old /reconditioned phones I think. A refugee my be given say an I phone 6. Completely fiscally irrelevant.

Pensioners are the only demographic to get non-means tested benefits though so aren't you basically saying the wfa should have been removed so that everyone is on a level pegging?

It‘s a benefit that’s not really a benefit you don’t get a state pension if you don’t contribute in the first place National insurance by you and your employer for 49 years. You have to work and earn it.

Selling off the state run energy companies combined to make the state pensioners in fuel v food poverty. That’s why WFP was awarded in the first place, this government know very well that most pensioners fall just outside PC the amount of tax pensioners pay tells the government who is rich and who will be struggling this winter but they prefer to brand all of them as rich.

Yes it is, but at the moment the USA has to deal with Central / South America. We or Europe have to deal with those arriving here. So a global solution not really practical, whereas a European one is or could be.
