The Labour Government

It’s about time everyone who works for him is open and honest and presents the full picture so he can be the very best version of himself for us all.

I can only imagine how furious he is over this and even more determined than ever to stay in post and deliver his promises for the country.

Darren Jones is assuring us all that process was followed by the PM and in no way has he ever misled the house so let’s all just move on and in the meantime we can have an urgent review so it never happens again.
Yes im watching that guy now, words believed? None. His ability to persuade embarrassing.

I have noticed over the years that the energy has just been drained from the country, probably since COVID. It's because of the cost of living and that kind of thing. It's hard to consider working harder when you're not paid enough for a comfortable standard of living let alone luxuries such as buying a house.

Our little one has just started nursery and there is basically no point in my partner working 5 days a week because due to childcare costs she would only gain £50pm more. We're lucky that we have my salary but then if I work overtime on my salary then I would be taxed 40% on every £1 extra I earn so I don't bother. Work and effort just doesn't really pay and where it does it's quickly taken away from you.

If people aren't comfortable then they lose faith in the system and many even lash out at the system. The government doesn't act upon this because unfortunately it is cheaper to have a significant number of people claiming peanuts on benefits than it is to invest at great cost in infastructure, the economy etc to help them get them off benefits.

What's really happening is there is an underclass of people who are happy to accept living on peanuts handed to them by the state because the alternative is well living on peanuts earnt by themselves instead. Peanuts are still peanuts.
Yes agree with this.
Certainly my mental health has nosedived the last few years to the point where I question whether things are worth it anymore. But I will say that the goverment is equally responsible for making things bad for people and if your a worker you get treated appallingly.

I'm sick of everyone around him letting him down tbh, a great man dragged down by incompetence or maybe even a machiavellian scheme devised by the right wing BBC to rid the elitist status quo of this working class oink.

He’s sacked Olly Robbins. The speed he has managed to oust the man responsible is a credit to him. Bravo Starmer.

This is the evidence that Starmer uncovered to find the culprit

Robbins started running the Foreign Office in January 2025, a month before Lord Mandelson took up his post as UK ambassador to the US.

Mandelson had, however, already been publicly announced for the role by the prime minister in December 2024.

Got him bang to rights

Didn't know Mandleson was involved with Epstein.
Didn't know he had failed the vetting process.
Didn't know the Foreign Office overruled the UKSV decision.

Doesn't know much, does he, for a PM. Who IS running your Government, Starmer?

For a former head of the CPS he’s lighter than Johnson on detail

I’m just wondering … as this the first time in history when, due to worldwide web the masses have educated themselves (albeit not always with the best outcomes) that the elites feel under threat. Hence the shutting down of free speech, talk of assisted dying, politicians lying barefacedly, deliberately creating situations that divide us, so more restrictions can be heaped upon us. I can’t believe I’m thinking this but I’m beginning to think of 1984 and that this is gradually coming true.

Are there any Labour voters on here actually believing this nonsense?
Plausible deniability is the ability of senior officials or individuals to deny knowledge of or responsibility for illegal, unethical, or unpopular actions committed by subordinates, because there is no evidence confirming their involvement. It relies on creating enough ambiguity or lack of evidence, making the denial believable (plausible)

My own opinion is that if it happens on your watch then you are responsible for it. Whether you should resign is a matter of personal conscience but ultimately a boss who continually blames his subordinates loses the respect of everyone and probably loses elections.

If the last few decades has taught us nothing else, its the fact the much poo pooed 'conspiracy' that whoever gets in, THEY win... is evidently true! THIS is why Farrage has been pushed and Corbyn was crushed. Carlins "big club" is still working just fine.
