The Labour Government

I probably havent explained it well mate. I was replying to Kirkstall Blues comment re he thought the loss of labour vote was due to the terminal being progressed. It was certainly not a post aimed at replacing whites or anything racist
I was trying to make the point that there has been a big influx into St helens over the past few years of both migrants & asylum seekers & unfortunately a lot of the people imho have confused the migrant people as being on benefits & not working, when they are all actually working. hence why reform have unfortunately done so well in the area. My use of non white was meant to highlight that the migrants were all here to work & not live off the state of which there are plenty of the "locals" , apologies for any offence perceived in the post as I was only trying to explain why reform has got where it has here based on the demographic changes over the past few years
So white migrants would be here to live off benefits ? But none white ones are not ?

Surely this whole debate is about “illegal” migration. Who is advocating NO immigration? This country has always welcomed people fleeing oppression. Embassies used to be equipped to issue visas and people fleeing would then be allowed to enter this country legally. Something had happened, systems have fallen apart or it has been done on purpose. Search me, but it desperately needs sorting.
I don’t know if that system ever exist but let’s guess why it doesn’t exist.

I know all the media attention has been on illegals but it’s more complex than that they are a tiny part of the figures. You cannot actually be an illegal until you are determined to not have a right to be here and refuse to leave.

Also as I say my post is about the economic impacts of low or negative immigration.

You say no one is advocating no immigration but don’t Restore and maybe even Refore advocate net zero or negative migration ? Haven’t both said people here legally should leave under certain circumstances. Isn’t everyone now saying refugee status should be temporary even for up to 20 years so somewhere could be at war for 19 years you could become a doctor with three kids and wife and still have to in year 19 / 20 doesn’t seem fair to me

I have a lot of respect for Kier Starmer, and I have even more respect for Gordon Brown.

This isn’t going to work though. It’s a roll of the dice that only shows how worryingly out of touch with the electorate Starmer is.

It reeks of Sunak bringing in Cameron when he knew he was fucked. A carbon copy desperation tactic that’ll yield zero results.

He needs to set a timetable for departure and Labour need to gel around a suitable successor.

It’s blindly obvious they need to get Andy Burnham a seat in parliament by hook or by crook. He’s popular, a proven leader and these days, most importantly he’s charismatic and a great communicator.

In my view it’s either Burnham or bust.

They need to grow a fucking spine and do what needs to be done to stop Farage and his band of con artists from doing to the UK what Trump has done to the US.

If a refuge has been here 19/20 years and the system hasn’t given them citizenship I really do not think a doctor with 3 children would be returned to their country. Surely the system would allow them to appeal and have their case considered favourably. We are a compassionate country.

It used to be a case of people worrying about migrants coming in and taking peoples' jobs. Now these days its a case of those same people worrying about migrants coming in and taking their benefits. Sad but true

It’s obvious to an outsider but these top table politicians will always cling on for dear life.

You are right about charisma though. In today’s social media driven world, the leader needs to have some. Starmer has none

We’ve seen various Labour Party members arguing for and against the current Cabinet, which will continue in the background and take them away from what they should be doing, allowing for further subversion from outside influences.

Just my thoughts, mate, and although I’d like to see some of their policies come to fruition, they’ll be knocked on the head and reversed by the new government who have a completely different outlook for the UK.

Ok, you mean the cabinet serving the full term, not the government

If you've been a doctor here for over a decade and still not a citizen, you might as well join the Brits going to be doctors in Australia or Canada.
Difference is they are choosing to leave these people wouldn’t be choosing to leave they would be being deported just because they haven’t become citizens and there country has now been deemed safe even if it isn’t

The story you quoted is aimed at people who are on work and family visas, and obtaining settled status.
