The Labour Party

The Tories are increasingly resembling an ultra right party. Think Le Penn, Vox in Spain. Their Rwanda immigration plan is shocking even if no-one has been sent there yet. The fact the two candidates are appealing to out nasty each other in order to appease their fanbase makes grim reading.

Given this, Labour really ought to be winning the next election.

If they don't it will be an extremely poor reflection on the UK electorate.

What did he say that was wrong?
Given that an hour long analysis was dismissed within 15 minutes of the post I doubt it was anything to do with the content.

I can only presume it is down to the need to memory hole this stuff and pretend it never happened.

A good day to bury bad news only works if people don't talk about it...

It will just prove beyond doubt that the malign influence of some of the media along with Social Media is out of control.

Do you mean inclusive of a Starmer gov, if that [by some miracle] ever happens?
What I mean is the biggest challenge this country faces is getting the Tories out but, as usual, the Labour Party will spend the next 2 years pulling itself apart and then likely snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
It should make Starmer take on some proper left wing policies at conference, which it certainly can, but won’t, because of ideology and orthodoxy. This country is absolutely finished if we can’t get this corrupt government out of our lives and that is what the Labour Party should be spending it’s energy on achieving.

Very interesting article. Actually articulates what a number of “old labour” actually thought at the time. Remember, childrens author Michael Rosen was banned (along with more Jewish members than Corbyn supposedly terrified) from the party because they didn’t agree with Starmer. https://www.jewishvoiceforlabour.org.uk/article/the-forde-report-is-what-it-isnt/

That is such a thoughtful article and, yes, the silence is deafening.

I remember one of our more prominent posters spitting volcanic fire on Corbyn on the subject and, not being Jewish, there was not much defending I could say on the matter, except saying to look at Corbyn's past record against Nazism, which was dismissed, somewhat as no proof. There's not too much one can say, but trust the views of another demographic/ culture being accurate.

Anyway, the crux of the rage was that ANYONE who supported Corbyn was antisemitic, a term that really bothered me, as it's clearly something I wasn't.

The point of this post being, I'm wondering if that poster has responded, cos I haven't seen it yet. I'd like to know their thoughts on the matter, to know if the snowballs of lies revealed bothers them, at all.

I don't usually peruse the Labour thread, but I'll keep my eye out.
