So after having to return to Manchester from France for a few days due to a death in the family I was thinking I could watch the match in the pub.
The closest to us was the Lancashire Fold in Alkrington so we set off early so we'd get a table as there were 8 of us. We were there at 1.30 pm, we had food, and multiple drinks in the area the staff told us was for the City match, sometime later a sign was put up saying we were in the right place.
We watched the match with other City fans, then started to watch the farewell for Bernardo, Johnny Stones and Pep.
When it got to Peps farewell the bar staff turned the TV over to arsenal's trophy lift. When we shouted over in complaint the bar staff laughed at us. It's not like anyone was really watching the other TVs showing arsenal.
At least four of us were asking for it back on.
This isn't what I would expect from a what I have always been told was a pub that catered for City fans.

Posh Alkrington wankers. Should have gone to The Falcon on Langley.

We just walked, as did the other blues who were watching. I'm sure it'll get back to the management if the pub's as blue friendly as I've been told.
Maybe it’s worth writing to the manager / proprietor.

That way, you can get your message across in your own time and words.

Never return, cnuts

It's where the Alkrington Branch meet. We're there on Wednesday. The landlady Lisa is usually spot on. Shame to hear that.
Tbh it's some of my families local, who told me Lisa was great, unfortunately we couldn't see her around and the others in the group wanted to leave in disgust. I thought if I put it on here it would get back to her as I'm back to France tomorrow.

If it were done against fans of another club, we'd all call it top shithousery.

As an update, my wife has contacted the Fold via Facebook and we have had an apology, with the explanation the they didn't know that the tributes were being broadcast
