Threw away a 2-0 lead against Brentford. Conceded a stupid (thankfully consolation) goal against West Ham, performance went to shit. Lost the game against United. Threw away a 3-0 lead against Feyenoord. Gave up a 1-0 lead at Brighton.

The players just don't have the legs to make it through 90 minutes. Which is fair enough - they've worked hard over the last four years and are experiencing major burnout. But why does Pep let games linger and linger and linger without making the right changes?

For example, tonight, what does Pep see in Gundogan's recent games that suggests he could help us stop Brentford coming back into the game? What have Grealish and Doku done wrong recently that means they can't even get a game? Just how bad does Bernardo have to be to be subbed off?

I love Pep and I'm still backing him, but I just don't get his thinking at the moment. At all.

Funny way of backing him

It's not necessarily not having the legs but when you're 2 goals up or to be honest any score in this league and the CL teams just don't stop and we just cannot keep playing the same way for 90 minutes with a high line and no defensive midfield. At 2 up we should adapt. At 3-1 up against Feyenoord we could have brought Walker or dias on, the same at 3-2 but we didn't. We also took a stupid short quick free kick by Grealish at 3-2 that ultimatley led to their third goal. That's not having the legs its fucking stupid decisions or just the style of play we persist in playing every game no matter the opposition or circumstances.

I really want James McAtee to do well and become a regular first team player but his high and wild shot near the end of the game gave possession back to Brentford when we should have been keeping the ball in play and running down the clock.

Pep is stubborn and has his favourites, Walker leaving will be one less headache for him

He was practically on the penalty spot. Did you expect him to run it to the corner instead?

Exactly. Either hit the target or keep possession. Don't blast it high and wide because it could cost us two points, which it did.

4 months to get a DM lined up and two weeks into the window and nothing has happened, that's why we're not closing out games.

Our bed was made after Rodders was injured but since the window opened we've been lucky to a degree against West Ham and now this.

There is the issue,
we bring on a hero from what seems another lifetime who is as much use as me on the pitch.

If we miss out on CL football by 2 points it was last night.

100%.

We are not unlucky....we are stupidly nieve, stubbon & unprofessional, AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN !!

It'll be too late when we're in the potless, piss poor Thursday losers cup next season !!

WAKE UP PEP !!

The thing that worries me is that even when 80% of the players have been rested with no game for over a week we still look absolutely knackered. It’s not as if it’s just the older players either.
Yes I thought that. Wtf is going on because every opponents we play - irrespective of league ( see Salford Rags) are in far better physical condition. It's a complete and extremely frustrating mystery.

I get 'burn out' but there are other top 4-6 teams who have also played shed loads of games in recent seasons who aren't goosed after 70 minutes or so.

It was a very good chance to score with still a few minutes left. He should’ve scored but everyone was guilty of missing chances. They got a bloody goal kick from it. It’s not as if he lost the ball trying a mazy dribble in his own half. We should be able to defend and regroup from a dead ball towards the end of a game.

The hit the target thing is nonsense. You could roll it straight to the keeper and hit the target. He went for the corner and missed. A dead ball shouldn’t be a big problem. The big problem is the defence and centre mid is shite
