The left back issue?

I know this one is ambitious but Arsenal are not having the best of seasons and he's probably not on astronomical wages so perhaps we can tempt him. What about Gael Clichy.

I know for a fact that City have agreed terms with an international left back..

how do you know this?
and who?

From the mouth of the player in question. He is happy and ready to get on board, his club though;not happy, that is the only stumbling block.
cant name the player, but think about it....

Any clues ?

Like the age of the player or what league he plays in ?

Sounds like Wayne Bridge to me, hope I'm wrong.

garrido is okay, but he's hardly going to set the world on fire, he's a good squad player for cover, but i do think we need someone with more quality at left back for the long term.

A LEFT BACK IS NOT THERE TO SET THE WORLD ON FIRE..........................absolute fool......................

I think players like Evra, Clichy, Ashley Cole, Phillip Lahm come very close to "setting the world on fire" . They are outstanding left backs who contribute vitally to both defense and offense.

No mate it's not.. close though

bridge would be just what we need but if we get him we cetainly need another defensive midfielder to cover him when he bombs on. senna or cambiasso would be fine with me.
